Trina Solar has announced that a 100MW agrivoltaic farming project in Wanning, China’s Hainan province, deploying Vertex N 720W series modules, has been connected to the grid. Average annual power generation of the project is expected to reach 133 GWh.

YunDuan Cao, Trina head of branding and marketing, commented: “Vertex N 720W series modules have gained huge popularity because of their high-reliability, demonstrated in various settings including coal mine goafs,high-altitude areas and vast desert regions in China, as well as a desalination plant in Saudi Arabia. We are confident that the series will continue to be deployed in ever increasing numbers around the world.”

The module offers lower LCOE and BOS costs with low-voltage, high-power, ultra-low degradation, high bifaciality and higher string power. Trina has upgraded its i-TOPCon technology and achieved another increase in cell efficiency of 0.3% through laser induced firing, the upgraded module now having an efficiency of up to 23.2%.
