Trinasolar’s International System Business Unit (ISBU) has announced the acquisition of a 50% share in the Bicker Fen solar project located in Lincolnshire, UK. The project, developed by AGR Renewables, is poised to redefine the landscape of hybrid energy systems, with a capacity of 80MWp of solar and a 100MWh battery storage system.
“This acquisition underscores our dedication to driving the transition towards renewable energy,” commented Leonardo Lotti, head of the EMEA region for the Trinasolar ISBU. “We are delighted to join forces with AGR Power to harness the potential of the Bicker Fen project and demonstrate the viability of hybrid energy systems in meeting the growing demand for sustainable power.”
The two parties aim to collaborate on a pipeline of projects in the future, leveraging Trinasolar ISBU’s expertise in solar technology and energy storage solutions and AGR Renewables’ proficiency in development and financing.
