TrinaTracker has signed a supply agreement with Zhejiang Thermal Power Construction (ZTPC), a subsidiary of China Energy Engineering Group, under which it will provide 200MW of its Vanguard 2P trackers and supporting Trina Smart Cloud monitoring platform for a project which is part of a national large-scale wind-PV based project owned by Dongying Huiyang Clean Energy, with ZTPC acting as EPC.

The plant, located in Dongying in China’s Shandong province, will operate using the model of power generation in the upper layer and fish farming in the lower, achieving the integration of PV power generation and aquaculture.

Considering the high wind pressure and corrosive environment at the project site, TrinaTracker’s technicians and R&D team have collaborated to improve the wind resistance of the trackers, achieving this by implementing a multi-motor system, 170mm torque tubes and long purlin plus diagonal bracing. The trackers are also coated with an antirust and anticorrosive layer that features galvanized magnesium-aluminium ZM310.

Ge Rui, Trina Solar’s GM for direct sales in China, commented: “As of the end of 2023, TrinaTracker’s global shipments exceeded 20GW and, with our extensive project experience, we are confident in our ability to provide customers with professional design solutions, excellent product quality and efficient team services.”
