JA Solar offering solar module insurance for PV power plant projects

Aside from traditional solar PV module manufacturing product warranties JA Solar in collaboration with Solar Insurance and Finance (Solarif) is offering customers solar project insurance.

The insurance, provided by Solarif, is underwritten by an A-rated global insurance company and covers costs associated with material damage to installations, additional labour costs, call-out charges and loss of electricity production.

According to JA Solar the new project insurance is intended to make it easier for customers to manage risks, obtain project financing, and increase the attractiveness of a project to potential buyers.
