Kyocera Solar to supply 30MW of solar modules to power plant in Japan

Kyocera Solar announced that it has been tapped to deliver 30MW of its solar modules for a utility-scale solar plant being constructed in the northern prefecture of Hokkaido, Japan. Nearly 135,000 modules will she shipped for the project, which is being designed and constructed by Yonden Engineering.

Construction is expected to begin on the project in October with the plant reaching operation by the beginning of March 2014. It is anticipated that the solar plant will produce enough energy to power nearly 9,600 typical households per year.
