Munich Re to cover Astronergy’s modules

Astronergy, also known as Chint Solar, has selected Munich Re, a reinsurance company, to cover its crystalline siliconPV modules for the 25-year warranty on its solar panels.

The agreement will see Munich guarantee a rated power output of over 90% for the first 10 years and a rated output of over 80% for the remaining 15 years. Any additional efficiency losses qualify for compensation.
