Glen Minyard accepts vice president position for Azure Power

Azure Power has welcomed Glen Minyard to its team as the new vice president of design and engineering. The company is looking at Minyard to oversee its commercial and off-grid business, deeming him a solar power veteran. He was the founder of Minyard Solar Electric  and brings over thirty years of experience in covers design, supply, project management and complete installation of residential and large-scale commercial PV  and renewable energy projects.

Glen is someone who has been a part of the global solar power movement from its inception and brings aboard rich knowledge in setting up successful PV power plants across the globe. Minyard is credited, among other accomplishments, for supervising the design, manufacturing and project management for over 5,000 complete PV systems around the world. His focus is on manufacturing solar electric equipment for remote home, telecom and large industrial applications.

Minyard holds an associate’s degree in Electronics Technology from College of the Redwoods and has minor’s degrees in micro-computer technology, communications and biomedical.
