SolarEdge’s embedded power optimizers certified and ready for market

SolarEdge Technologies has gained certification for its module-embedded power optimizers, rendering them ready for commercial deployment. The optimizers, now recognized and listed for use in North America, are embedded as a junction box in smart modules and are capable of arc detection and termination.

Claiming a record efficiency of 99.5%, the optimizers feature a highly efficient ASIC chipset, a 32% lower part count, and the implementation of a series of algorithmic advancements are said to allow for production of up to 25% more energy. The new technology was already released to the market as an add-on optimizer.
