A new initiative is being launched by micro-inverter pioneer, Enphase Energy to boost the use of its technology in commercial PV projects at SPI 2012. The new program includes cash rewards for installers undertaking commercial-scale PV projects.

Enphase said that it had expanded its ‘Commercial Solution’ program to add a ‘limitless’ features list including cash rewards. These are to enable faster installations, reduced system design costs and lower levelized cost of energy (LCOE).

The cash rewards system is available through to March 31, 2013, to all PV solar installers and developers in the United States and Canada.

The ‘limitless” monthly cash rewards are structured so that a future commercial project that is currently in the bid process using its micro-inverters can earn up to US$500 upon system activation on its ‘Enlighten’ internet portal. Enlighten.

The latest version of Enlighten software was also highlighted and was said to continue to deliver monitoring and management capabilities to solar installers, owners and operators.

The second way the cash rewards can be claimed is by installing and activating a commercial project using Enphase micro-inverters, earning up to US$3 per micro-inverter upon system activation

“Commercial solar projects are becoming more widespread and Enphase offers commercial installers a technology solution with a modular architecture, integrated intelligence, lower levelized cost of energy (LCOE) and increased project profitability,” said Bill Rossi, Chief Marketing Officer of Enphase Energy. “We’ve strengthened our commercial offering by developing new installer tools to complement the Enphase Microinverter System, plus created a new rewards program designed to help drive the growth of our customers’ business.”

Enphase is also offering free training for its entire micro-inverter systems and new installer tools during SPI 2012 at Booth #2515
