Rajasthan, India, will not be awarding contracts to build 200MW of solar capacity to competing companies until August, a two-month delay. According to Bloomberg, MM Vijayvergia, executive director of Rajasthan Renewable Energy advised that the last day for companies to submit their interest in the bidding is May 18.

Vijayvergia did not give reason for the delay, but advised that upon the closing date, shortlisted candidates will be asked to submit bids with the whole process, expected to be completed in August. Companies expecting to participate in the process include the Welspun Group and Visual Percept Solar Projects.
