STR Holdings signs PV encapsulant material manufacturing agreement in China

US-based PV module encapsulant supplier, STR Holdings has signed a manufacturing agreement with ZheJiang FeiYu Photo-Electrical Science & Technology Co., Ltd.

The deal is part of STR Holdings' restructuring efforts to lower material manufacturing costs and reduce supply chain delivery times for customers in China.

STR Holdings said in an SEC filing that the manufacturing agreement was intended to last for an initial two-year period. The company had previously planned to lease and operate its own facility in China.

The company said that it would provide FeiYu with all of the proprietary information and assistance necessary to manufacture its range of encapsulants.
