Organised by Solar Media, publisher of PV-Tech, the conference and exhibition takes place at the IMPACT Arena in Bangkok on March 19 and 20.

Armstrong's South East Asia Clean Energy Fund expects to announce new deals in the solar and mini-hydro sectors of Southeast Asia’s emerging markets shortly.

The Armstrong fund focuses on small-scale power generation and resource efficiency projects and aims to provide early-stage capital to infrastructure developers in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and other emerging markets.

Announcing the fund, Andrew Affleck, Armstrong Asset Management's managing partner, commented: “The Armstrong strategy intentionally capitalizes on Southeast Asia’s regional diversity…we envisage Southeast Asia becoming a highly attractive market for small-scale renewable energy projects.”

Edward Douglas has more than 20 years’ experience as an engineer and investment professional in the renewable energy, power generation and utilities sectors. Prior to joining Armstrong Asset management, he was the senior Investment Director with FE Clean Energy Group Inc., a leading private equity fund manager specializing in renewable energy which, between 2006 and 2011, closed investments in Asia totalling more than US$150 million.

The Solar Business Expo Southeast Asia is being held at the IMPACT Arena, Exhibition and Convention Center, Bangkok, Thailand, on 19th – 20th of March 2013.
