Solar module producer Upsolar’s product portfolio has been tested and deemed to possess resistance to potential induced degradation (PID) by the Institute of Industrial Certification for Mechanics.
The modules were tested under the IEC 62804 Ed. 1.0 specification, set out by the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), and reportedly passed by a wide margin. Tests included exposing the modules being exposed for 96 hours to 85% atmospheric humidity, temperatures over 60°C and applied voltage of 1,000V.
