ESA Renewables, US project developer, has been chosen by Jamaica-based Caribbean Energies Group (CEG) to construct a 24MW PV plant in Jamaica. ESA is responsible for the design and the maintenance of the plant as well as the legal permits and other requirements.
Further, ESA Renewables will conduct the assessment of the system and administrate the necessary studies. Construction of the plant is expected to commence in 2012 but a completion date has not yet been established. CEG, who will finance the project, has not disclosed the costs.
