According to the latest policy of China’s National Energy Administration (NEA), the state entity wants selected countries to have at least 20% of all residential roofs equipped with solar energy, as well as at least 30% of commercial and industrial structures, 40% of non-governmental public buildings, such as hospitals and schools, and half of the roofs on national estates.  It is foreseen that this policy will boost the growth of distributed solar in the domestic market.

Antaisolar has participated in a Distributed PV seminar to share the case study of its distributed solar plants on Singapore Housing and Development Board (HDB) buildings, an example for the NEA’s solar on roofs policy for pilot countries. The completed project covered its first three tenders, incorporating 300+ HDB blocks with a total capacity of 50MW.

With over 300 diversified rooftops and strict design requirements such as reserved passageway, non-destruction of roofs and certification by a third-party design agency, racking suppliers required significant expertise and design ability to conduct on site surveys. Antaisolar ultimately provided only five racking design templates for all 300 rooftops, based on the company’s strong design capabilities and experience of distributed solar plants. Upon completion, the HDB estimated the power generated to be sufficient to provide 12,500 four-room apartments with solar energy, eliminating at the same time an annual 30,000 tonnes of carbon emissions.

The roof construction environment for distributed solar plants is complex and is often accompanied by high governmental requirements. Solar racking is the most complex and critical part of the entire implementation process, playing an important role in reducing the difficulty of construction and providing key calculation data for investors, EPCs and design institutes.

As part of its plan to help achieve carbon-neutrality across the world, Antaisolar will continue to focus on its brand positioning as a leading supplier of the whole industry chain in PV mounting systems, and strive to provide efficient and innovative solutions for its global clients.
