Gamesa Electric has reported a record year for its solar and storage inverter business in 2022, almost tripling 2021’s contracted capacity.
Managing Director Juan Barandiaran commented: “We are delighted with the strong demand for our products and services in 2022, which underlines the hard work and dedication of our team and encourages us to continue to innovate and offer our customers top quality products such as the Proteus inverter”.
Indeed, a major reason for the success in 2022 has been the launch of the new Proteus central inverter for solar and storage applications, with up to 4700kW of power and record levels of efficiency, the product receiving the prestigious Intersolar award for the best solar product of 2022.
“We have seen strong demand in markets such as the USA and Spain, which have favourable regulations and value the technological advantages of the product and its impact on reducing LCOE,” added Enrique de la Cruz, Gamesa’s Solar & Storage Sales Director. “We have also entered new markets such as Bosnia-Herzegovina, Denmark and Switzerland and are delighted to collaborate with large customers such as Siemens.”
