A 2021 market share report released by IHS Markit has placed GoodWe as the No.3 PV inverter supplier in Australia based on total annual shipments, with the report also ranking the company 6th globally. GoodWe’s own internal research and analysis further suggests that the company was the leader in the Australian residential and commercial rooftop segment for the same period.

GoodWe first established a presence in Australia in 2012, with just three members of staff. In less than ten years, the team has increased to 15, with the last four years showing a 50% year-on-year growth. The company offers the largest range of solar product solutions in Australia, including both single-phase and hybrid inverters.

GoodWe Australia Country Manager, Dean Williamson, commented: “We are extremely proud of this achievement, which is a great testament to our dedicated teams, both locally and globally. 2021 presented many challenges for the solar industry in Australia, particularly issues related to supply chain and the impact of the pandemic. Thanks to our distribution partners and customers, however, we were still able to achieve significant growth over this period and have now delivered well over 1GW of product solutions in Australia since our establishment in 2012.”

“GoodWe is continually looking towards the future, with a constantly expanding product portfolio. We have recently released our new HT series for large commercial scale applications, allowing us to capitalize further on this market segment, and we are also excited to be releasing soon a BIPV solar rooftop product, together with a high voltage battery, which will enable us to further strengthen our position as a leader in renewables and accelerate the energy transition.”
