Grand Sunergy has once again been successful in its bidding in the 2024-25 procurement process for the supply of 2GW of heterojunction modules to CNNP Rich Energy and Xinhua Hydropower, both centrally owned state-owned companies.
The company has so far announced contracts for a total of RMB 1.452 billion this year:
- A module contract for a 400MW offshore PV project with the China Energy Construction Group Northwest Survey and Design Research Institute for a value of RMB 539 million
- A module contract for a 600MW Salt-PV project, this time with the China Energy Construction Group South Survey and Design Research Institute for a value of RMB 749 million
- A module contract for a 4GW Phase II project with the China Construction Second Engineering Bureau, for a value of RMB 164 million
With the heterojunction (HJT) sector experiencing rapid growth over the past two years, Grand Sunergy’s products have gained increasing popularity with central and state-owned clients, leading to a continued increase in market share and brand influence.
HJT modules have now reached a level where they can compete on a par with TOPCon technology. It is anticipated that, in 2024, N-type technology will replace P-type as the mainstream, ushering in even greater opportunities for heterojunction products.
