JinkoSolar chairman David Lee has met with Saudi Arabia’s Assistant Minister for Electricity Affairs, Nasser Qahtani, during the latter’s recent visit to China. During their meeting in Beijing discussions revolved around areas of cooperation and investment opportunities in accordance with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030, which aims to achieve 60GW of renewable deployment, including 40GW of solar.
Jinko already contributes to energy value chain requirements in the Kingdom with its portfolio of technologies and solutions, collaborating with major client ACWA on projects including the supply of 3.8GW of its advanced N-type TOPCon Tiger Neo panels to a sea desalination plant.
“We are proud of our history in Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries, and the partnerships that we have developed here,” commented Lee. “We will continue to work with our partners and customers to implement advanced technologies that can support and accelerate the energy transition and contribute to Saudi Arabia’s vision.”
