JinkoSolar has announced that the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi) has approved its short and long-term emission reduction targets, making it the world’s first PV manufacturer to receive such validation.
The SBTi is a global body enabling businesses to set ambitious targets for reduction in emissions in line with the latest climate science, collaborating with companies worldwide to halve emissions before 2030 and achieve net-zero status before 2050. Jinko became part of the initiative in late 2021, releasing its 2022 ESG report during the first half of 2023.
