The All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce has released its 2026 listings of the top 500 private companies by invention patents and R&D investment. Thanks to its outstanding independent innovation capabilities and long-term, sustained R&D investment, JinkoSolar has been recognized in both listings, ranking first among PV module manufacturers on each.
The company has consistently prioritized R&D and innovation as a strategic focus, with cumulative R&D investment exceeding 22 billion yuan between 2021 and 2025. To date, it has filed over 6,500 patent applications globally and holds more than 4,000 valid authorized patents.
Jinko’s substantial R&D investment has directly translated into technological breakthroughs, the company achieving an N-type TOPCon cell efficiency of 27.79% and a perovskite/TOPCon tandem cell efficiency surpassing 34.82%. It has now broken world records for cell and module efficiency and power output on a cumulative 33 occasions and continues to lead the direction of technological advancement in the industry.
