SC Solar has provided a turnkey solution for Uzbekistan’s first automated PV module production line in the city of Nukus, a high profile project recently visited by the country’s president, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
The result of a partnership between Uzbek power company Electro-Engineering and SC Solar at an investment of over $10 million, the line is expected to achieve an annual production capacity of 200 MW, equating to some 273,000 modules.
The project will not only enhance Uzbekistan’s self-sufficiency in module production but also strengthen the country’s competitiveness in the global solar market, marking a significant step forward for its renewable energy industry.
The participation in the Nukus project marks a significant milestone in SC Solar’s expansion into the Central Asian market, the company continuing to develop its global strategic blueprint and strengthen communication and collaboration with partners.
