Sungrow has announced that it has won a contract to supply its inverters to the 154MW Ratesti PV plant in Romania, in collaboration with the project’s EPC provider INTEC Energy Solutions. The project, located in Arges county in the south of the country, is the largest of its kind in Romania and is forecast to generate an annual 124GWh a year, powering 100,000 households with clean energy while cutting carbon emissions by 160,000 tons. It will be equipped with Sungrow’s 6.25 MWA turnkey solution, which offers an efficiency of 99%, making it ideal for utility-scale applications.
“Sungrow is proud to be a part of the Ratesti project and to support Romania’s ambition to derive more of its power needs from renewables. With our 25-year track record in the industry, we have local teams across Europe providing professional services and we will continue to offer scalable and competitive solutions for our partners and customers,” commented Lewis Li, the company’s General Manager for Europe.
