Sunport Power released three new products based on MWT technology at the recent SNEC Expo – the C10 panel with higher efficiency and lower voltage, the C10-Pro panel with HJT+MWT technology and the M series MWT bifacial panel.

With Triple Parallel Connection, the C10 achieves higher efficiency and lower voltage with lower installation costs

The module is based on Sunport’s unique MWT technology and, with the advantage of a conductive foil backsheet, cells on the panel can be connected free from numbers, distance and direction. On this basis, Sunport achieves a special triple parallel connection design to support half-cut M6 (166mm) wafers and significantly reduce the panel’s working voltage. The maximum power output of the panel can reach 660W and, with a conversion efficiency of up to 21.5%, the C10 is the best 166mm module on the market, with the highest power output.

Dr. Lu Zhonglin, Sunport’s vice president, explained that the optimized design of the electrical parameters of the C10 panel delivers the best ratio of voltage and current, which makes it especially suitable for utility scale ground-mount PV plants, providing lower BOS costs and higher ROI due to its high output and reliability.

With the combination of MWT + HJT, the C10-Pro is a leader in efficiency

With enhancements to the classic C10 panel, Sunport has launched its most important PV panel product, the C10-Pro, combining MWT and HJT technologies and reaching new heights of panel performance.

“Inheriting the platform advantage of back-contact MWT technology, plus an HJT structure, the new C-Pro achieves a breakthrough conversion efficiency of 22.8%, with total power output able to reach 700W,” commented Dr. Lu. “Besides, with the help of MWT’s low-temperature, strain-free encapsulation technology, we have perfectly solved the difficulty of encapsulation of an HJT cell, which also applies to super-thin wafers. Even with a thickness of 120μm, encapsulation efficiency and product yield can be maintained. Meanwhile, due to the lower temperature coefficient, the panel provides better power generation and results in lower BOS costs and LCOE for users,” he continued.

Bifacial duo-glass M series, a perfect integration of MWT and bifacial

Back-contact and bifacial technology have long appeared to be incompatible. However, Sunport’s M series has now broken the ice and achieved the perfect integration of the two technologies.

“Based on back-contact MWT technology, the M series panel uses full-back welding and flat interconnection technology on the back side, eliminating the stress caused by bending strips on cell gaps as in a conventional ribbon connection, providing better reliability and lower degradation. The 166mm 72 pcs type module provides up to 460W in front power with a conversion rate of 21.1% and an impressively high bifacial rate of 70%. It is very suitable for terrains with high ground reflection and provides additional power generation,” explained Dr. Lu. “Furthermore, the M series bifacial module has great potential for application with other technologies like larger wafers and HJT.”

“The release of these new products not only demonstrates our strength and determination in technological breakthroughs, but also shows the potential of high-efficiency back contact MWT technology,” added Dr. Fengming Zhang, Sunport’s founder and president. “In the future, Sunport Power will stand upon the platform of MWT technology and continue to devote its efforts into R&D in the field of innovative technology, bringing more optimized products to the industry.”
