Suntech Power has announced that it has won a contract for the revamp of a 30MW plant in Italy following a tender issued by the ERG Group, a leading independent clean energy provider operating across nine European countries. Suntech will deploy its half-cell N-Type TOPCon bifacial glass-glass modules for the project, a new but growing trend in the industry, particularly in mature, developed markets where older modules are showing a decrease in efficiency.
