In a strategic move to bolster Pakistan’s renewable energy sector, TCL Solar has entered into landmark distribution agreements with AU Solar Solution and Madina Solar, establishing both companies as official distributors in the country, with ambitious targets to deliver 150MWand 100MWrespectively of high-efficiency solar modules during 2025.
Pakistan’s solar market is experiencing unprecedented growth, driven by increasing energy demand and with the country having one of the highest solar irradiance levels globally. As of the end of 2024, its cumulative solar capacity had surged to 4.1GW, a significant leap from 1.3GW in mid-2023. The Pakistani government aims to achieve 5GW by the end of 2025, with further expansion expected as part of its commitment to sourcing 60% of electricity from renewables by 2030.
AU Solar’s strong presence in agricultural applications and Madina Solar’s decade-long experience in residential and commercial installations creates a comprehensive market coverage that perfectly complements TCL Solar’s technology portfolio, ensuring Pakistani customers receive world-class products backed by localized service and support.
The new distribution agreements come at a pivotal moment for Pakistan’s energy market, as the country seeks to reduce its dependence on fossil fuels, expand energy access and support its growing industrial and agricultural power requirements.
AU Solar CEO Adnan Zia commented: “TCL Solar’s technology diversity allows us to precisely match products to each customer’s unique requirements, whether for urban installations or rural solar applications,” with Madina Solar CEO Ali Razaadding: “This partnership combines global innovation with local expertise to deliver complete solar solutions tailored for Pakistan’s evolving energy landscape.”
