TCL Solar showcases advanced BC technology at Intersolar South America

TCL Solar has taken part in the 2026 edition of Intersolar South America in São Paulo, showcasing its latest PV innovations, including its latest C2 BC modules and a portfolio of solutions designed to address the diverse climatic and energy needs of Latin America.

The exhibition marked an important step in the company’s continued expansion across the region. From hot and humid coastal environments to arid deserts, high-altitude mountains and C&I rooftops, its technology is engineered to deliver reliable performance across diverse climates and applications, bringing its vision of “one high-performance module, more application possibilities” to life.

Among highlights of TCL Solar’s presence at the exhibition was its new BC (Back Contact) product line, designed to deliver higher energy yield while maintaining strong performance under challenging real-world conditions.

Compared with conventional TOPCon modules with the same footprint, the company’s BC modules can deliver an additional 30–40 watts of power, the higher power density able to reduce the rooftop area required to achieve the same installed capacity by more than 6%, providing a meaningful advantage for space-constrained applications.

For rural households, farmhouses and agricultural outbuildings, where available rooftop space can be limited, higher power output within the same footprint can enable greater solar capacity without requiring additional roof area. This can help users increase self-consumption and create greater opportunities for grid export.

High solar irradiation is one of Latin America’s key advantages for solar generation, but elevated temperatures can also affect module output. This is particularly relevant for residential and agricultural rooftops, which can experience significant heat accumulation during the summer months.

TCL Solar’s BC modules feature a temperature coefficient of -0.26%/°C, compared with approximately -0.28%/°C for conventional modules. The improved temperature coefficient helps reduce power losses as module temperatures rise, enabling BC modules to maintain more stable output in hot conditions. For households and agricultural users, this can translate into more consistent solar generation during periods when electricity demand is high.

Beyond its BC portfolio, the company also displayed its TOPCon module series, providing customers and partners with a broader range of high-performance solutions for different applications and market requirements.

The company’s modules are engineered with features including anti-PID performance and salt mist resistance, supporting long-term reliability across a variety of environmental conditions. TCL Solar offers a 15-year product warranty and a 30-year linear power warranty, reflecting its focus on long-term product performance and customer value.
