The first 182 and 210 solar cells roll off new Jolywood production line

Jolywood Solar’s first 182 and 210 solar cells have been produced at the company’s 16GW high efficiency smart factory in Shanxi province, in the presence of government officials and business representatives, opening a new chapter in the volume production of J-TOPCon 2.0 and the development of n-type solar technology.

The new factory covers a total area of 609 acres, at an investment of 5.6 billion yuan, and is equipped with AI robotics and fully automated equipment to enhance production efficiency and resource management.

Shanxi government expressed its congratulations at the event. “Jolywood producing new solar cells from its assembly line here is significant for the energy transformation of Shanxi Province. The government has given a lot of backing to this project, from contract to construction to ultimate output.”

Jianjun Xie, chairman of Jolywood’s Shanxi Branch commented: “The J-TOPCon 2.0 technology has been independently researched by Jolywood and its cells have now achieved an efficiency of 24.5% in mass production and 25.4% in laboratory efficiency, which has been widely recognized by the industry and the market. Moving forward, the company will focus on upgrading its production technology to J-TOPCon 3.0 and TBC and further support the construction of the Shanxi smart factory.”
