Trina Solar and Al-Raebi Trading have signed a 5-year partnership agreement for the supply of 500MW of n-type modules for the Yemeni market, following on from a 40MW module deal last year. The first phase of the agreement will see Trina supply Al-Raebi with 100MW of Vertex N modules during 2023, helping power houses, C&I and utility projects.
Antonio Jiménez, Trina managing director and vice president for the Middle East, commented: “We are delighted to bring our latest Vertex N modules to the region. Our long and successful relationship with Al-Raebi enables us to deliver the power, efficiency and reliability needed to accelerate the adoption of clean energy in the Yemeni market.”
Abdullah M. Raebi, Al-Raebi general manager, added: “Solar energy has rapidly gained popularity and has become the foundation of Yemen’s electricity supply, with more than 70% of households now using solar as their primary energy source. We are proud to be leading the way in the Middle East solar sector by introducing Trina Solar’s latest Vertex N modules, which allow us to deliver the most advanced solar technology to address the current and future market demand.”
Jiménez added: “With the tremendous success of the n-type modules supplied last year, we are now witnessing increasing demand for the upgraded version. The new 500MW deal is a strong testament to the excellent value that these modules are providing to users in Yemen.”
