Trina Solar has begun the delivery of 463.18MW of its Vertex 580W modules to the Xigu and Xieka hybrid hydro-solar power plants in China’s Sichuan province.

Located in Jiulong county, in an area of rugged terrain and significant variations in altitude, the two plants will promote the development of green energy and local environmental protection, also acting as a driver for economic growth.

Sichuan Jiulong New Energy, the investor behind the plants, chose to deploy high efficiency Vertex modules for their higher string power, greater system capacity and higher energy yield. The Vertex modules are also well known for their suitability for use at ground-mounted plants located in areas with complex terrain.

Helena Li, president of global solar product business at Trina, commented: “We are delighted to see that the value of 210mm and 210R products is being further recognized by the market and we will continue to provide comprehensive solutions for the utility, commercial and industrial, and residential segments, supporting the industry’s growth and playing a leading role in building a net-zero future.”
