Trinasolar has received an International Design Excellence Award in the US, within the C&I product category, for its Vertex S+ Series n-type dual-glass rooftop modules, the recognition following on from the company’s recent receipt of a Red Dot award.
The IDEA award, organized by the IDSA, is widely recognized as one of the world’s most prestigious industrial design awards, assessed in the five areas of appropriate aesthetics, design innovation, benefit to user, benefit to brand and benefit to society. In the case of the Vertex S+ series, the criteria can be adapted to visually appealing, functional, socially responsible and commercially viable.
The Vertex S+ series takes black as its dominant colour and can perfectly match many styles of rooftops with high consistency and integrity.
Based on 210mm rectangular silicon wafer cell technology, the modules feature n-type i-TOPCon advanced technology, with triple-cut cells designed for more flexible layout, maximizing power output in an area of less than 2m2 , to 450W and above and 455W and above depending on the model.
The dual-glass structure can withstand mechanical loads of up to 5,400 Pa positive load and 2,400 Pa negative load, making it resilient in extreme weather, with ultra-low degradation, a low-temperature coefficient and excellent fire rating (class A+C) earning the product a 25-year product warranty and a 30-year power warranty. Recognized for its excellence in low-carbon practices, the Vertex S+ Series was awarded EPD Norway and EPD International certification by TÜV Rheinland earlier this year.
