TrinaTracker’s SP240 tracker, the predecessor of the company’s Agile 1P solution, is operating at a high efficiency level at the first tracker-equipped solar project in Spain’s Andalucía region. Since its commissioning in summer of this year, monitoring data shows a high availability rate of over 99.5%.

The 50 MW project at Huelva utilizes two specifications of SP240 trackers, 1Px56 and 1Px28, with bi-row set up to fit the topography. Annual capacity is 100 GWh, equivalent to the energy consumption of 28,000 households, with the plant delivering an annual reduction of 90,000 tons of CO2. The Huelva plant is the first of 12 in an agreement concluded last December between Bruc Energy and Alter Enersun for the development and management of 550MW of photovoltaic energy.

“We are extremely impressed by the professional service provided by TrinaTracker, all the way from delivery to on-site installation, and by the reliability of the product itself. We look forward to working with TrinaTracker again for upcoming projects,” commented José Luis Morlanes Galindo, CEO of Alter Enersun, the project owner.

Jason Duan, General Manager of TrinaTracker, added: “We are delighted to receive the praise and encouragement from Enersun. As a key component of TrinaSolar’s integrated solution, we are very pleased to be part of this significant project. TrinaTracker will continue to develop its business and pursue technology innovations that meet clients’ needs.”

TrinaTracker has recently added the new upgraded Agile 1P series to its product line, to address the advent of large-format modules. Integrated with a proprietary dual-slewing system and intelligent SuperTrack algorithm, the Agile 1P is a reliable solution which further enhances power generation capacity, with the product destined for global use at new projects deploying 182/210 wafer size modules.
