French development agency AFD signs off EUR24.2 million loan for 49MW solar project in Gia Lai Province, Vietnam, with EVN.

After a solar risk mitigation plan was announced at the first International Solar Alliance (ISA) summit in March 2018, the World Bank and French development bank AFD are now working together on a scheme to help remove barriers to solar in developing countries, which is held back by perceived risk.

The Bolivian government's Chamber of Deputies has approved a €60 million (US$66.7 million) loan agreement from the French Development Agency (AFD) to help finance a 50MW solar PV plant in the department of Oruro.
