Pakistan solar just a PPA away from beating grid parity

The Pakistani regulator has issued its tariff determinations for 300MW of solar with tariffs significantly below grid parity.

Norwegian solar project developer Scatec Solar and Pakistani partner Nizam energy have sought levelized tariffs of US$5.9574/kWh for three 50MW projects in the Sindh region of Pakistan, which will use BYD modules and Sungrow inverters.
