Indian independent power producer (IPP) Inox Clean Energy has acquired the Macquarie-owned Vibrant Energy, which operates a 1,337MW commercial and industrial-focused renewables portfolio across India.
Vibrant Energy said the project financing worth INR22 billion (US$267.9 million) provided by Indian non-banking financial entity Power Finance Corporation will be used for the wind-solar hybrid projects located in Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka.
Amazon has expanded its renewable energy presence in India with two solar-wind hybrid projects to be developed in partnership with Vibrant Energy, a subsidiary of Macquarie Green Investment Group.
