Evergreen Solar rises above its competitors in TÜV performance test

Evergreen Solar, Inc., developers and marketers of the low-cost silicon wafer manufacturing technology String Ribbon solar power products, has announced high ratings in two significant performance tests. 

Evergreen Solar’s ES-Series String Ribbon solar panel, a product that that delivered the most kilowatt hours of electricity out of 14 competitors, is currently undergoing a yearlong test that will end in April 2009, conducted by TÜV Rheinland Group.  Another test, conducted by PHOTON, also confirmed high ratings for the company, with the panels delivering 1038 kilowatt hours of electricity for the entire year.
