Marking a major advancement in Sino-European energy collaboration, AIKO has launched the Austria-China FFG project and inaugurated its Zero Carbon Institute Europe office in Vienna.
The FFG project, approved as part of China’s National Key R&D program, focuses on the building of flexible, grid-friendly energy systems. Jointly funded by China’s Ministry of Science and Technology and Austria’s FFG (Research Promotion Agency), the project encourages innovation in zero-carbon and clean energy systems, covering technologies including energy networks, industrial energy systems and cross-sector solutions, AIKO’s involvement reflecting its commitment to fostering global low-carbon transition.
International climate expert Helga Krompt-Kolb and former Dean of the University of Vienna, Udo Wagner, each addressed attendees at the launch event, focusing on the importance of global sustainable development from the perspectives of “climate change, sustainability, and peace” and the impact of zero-carbon initiatives on ESG. The event concluded with the unveiling of the Vienna office, followed by signing ceremonies for partnerships with NEUBAU best.energy and Zon op Water, expanding AIKO’s presence in Europe’s green energy sector.
