Astronergy has officially received an IEC TR 63556 outdoor validation certificate from  China’s Photovoltaic Test Centre (CPVT), confirming the environmental adaptability and long-term durability of its PV modules under one of the most stringent testing protocols in the solar industry.

The announcement was made during SNEC 2025 in Shanghai, where Astronergy also showcased its upgraded ASTRO N series. Now powered by TOPCon 5.0 cell technology, the series delivers enhanced power and efficiency, better temperature coefficients and higher energy yields across a wide range of climate conditions.

Real-world results from CPVT’s outdoor test base in Yinchuan—characterized by a dry, harsh climate—showed that a full-string installation of 10 ASTRO N modules achieved an impressive first-year average degradation rate of just 0.69%, significantly better than the industry’s typical 1% benchmark.

“Achieving IEC TR 63556 certification is a strong endorsement of our field-oriented product development philosophy,” commented Jack Zhou, Astronergy Head of Global Product Technical Management. “We build modules not just to pass lab tests, but to perform reliably in the most demanding environments worldwide.”
