HIUV and H.B. Fuller have officially entered into a strategic collaboration to deliver high-quality encapsulation solutions for the U.S. market. Under the agreement, HIUV will provide designated film formulations and manufacturing technologies, while production will take place at H.B. Fuller’s Ohio facility.
Photovoltaic films serve as critical encapsulation materials for PV modules, their performance directly influencing module durability, stability and power generation efficiency. The main types of encapsulation film currently available on the market include EVA and POE, with EVA dominating due to cost-performance and mature production processes, whereas POE has carved out a niche for its superior weatherability and moisture barrier properties. EPE co-extruded films are also gaining popularity for their well-balanced performance characteristics.
HIUV is known for its robust R&D capabilities, advanced technology and comprehensive product portfolio with H.B.Fuller having expertise in adhesive formulations, offering a wide range of products including adhesives and sealants to a client base spanning over 40 countries, including North America, Europe, Latin America, Asia Pacific, India, Middle East and Africa.
This strategic partnership is a significant move for both companies, aligning with evolving market trends.
