JinkoSolar has announced that it has, in conjunction with its official distributor in Thailand, Solar Touch, converted a poultry and pig farm belonging to KVS Fresh Products to solar power, with the completed installation of 1MW of its high efficiency solar panels.

The solar arrays equipped with JinkoSolar panels will supply enough power to run the farm, located in Nakhon Sawan, over the course of 25 years. This is the first poultry farm in the region to convert to solar power and serves as an excellent model for others looking to do likewise.

“Today’s consumers are looking for local, sustainable food, and a solar powered poultry and pig farm gives people an excellent option,” commented Gener Miao, JinkoSolar’s CMO. “KVS’s leadership in the poultry industry, combined with ours in the solar PV sector has created a sustainable model that can be rolled out to all areas of agriculture.”
