JinkoSolar has announced the signing of a 500MW supply agreement for its high-efficiency Tiger Neo 3.0 modules with a core strategic distribution partner in South Korea, the modules to be deployed across the country’s C&I and residential distributed sectors.
South Korea features extensive mountainous terrain and densely populated urban areas, where distributed rooftops frequently face physical constraints such as limited space and load-bearing capacity. Consequently, power generation capacity per unit area has become the core metric for module selection. Equipped with next-generation TOPCon cells, the Tiger Neo 3.0 achieves mass-produced cell efficiencies exceeding 27%, a front-side module efficiency of 24.8% and a maximum output power of 670W. Under identical rooftop area conditions, the Tiger Neo 3.0 can increase installed capacity by 8% to 10% while reducing the total number of modules, mounting structures and installation labour required, thereby directly lowering Balance of System (BOS) costs.
