LONGi has announced a significant agreement with leading IPP and EPC Grupotec for the supply of its high-efficiency Hi-MO 9 PV modules. The landmark collaboration encompasses several utility-scale solar projects in the United Kingdom with a total of 187MW, reinforcing both companies’ commitment to advancing renewable energy infrastructure.
Grupotec selected Hi-MO 9 for these projects following a thorough engineering analysis, having concluded that the product’s underlying technology offered the optimal solution for achieving the lowest Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) through superior yield and reduced Balance of System (BOS) costs.
“We are delighted to deepen our partnership with Grupotec on these significant projects,” commented David Sanchez, LONGi GM for Iberia. “The selection of our Hi-MO 9 module by a leading EPC like Grupotec underscores its superior performance and our shared vision for delivering highly efficient, cost-effective solar solutions. This agreement is a testament to the strong trust and collaborative spirit we have built together, and we look forward to achieving new milestones with Grupotec in the renewable energy sector.”
Grupotec CEO César Moreyra added: “Our decision to choose LONGi’s Hi-MO 9 for these crucial projects was driven by rigorous engineering analysis and our unwavering commitment to delivering the lowest LCOE for our clients’ projects. The Hi-MO 9’s ability to offer higher yield and lower BOS costs aligns perfectly with our strategic objectives. The growing relationship with LONGi, built on mutual respect and shared technical excellence, has been pivotal in our success, and we are excited about the continued positive impact of this collaboration.”
The partnership between Grupotec and LONGi has flourished since its inception in 2023, consistently growing to include the current annual supply of over 300 MW to projects.
