
LONGi has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Saudi Water Authority (SWA) during the 2026 edition of Saudi Water Week.
The agreement was signed in the presence of His Excellency Mansour Al-Mushaiti, Vice Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture (MEWA), His Excellency Tariq Alghaffari, VP Research and Promising Technologies and Board member of SWA and James Jin, LONGi President for the MENA region.
The partnership aims to advance renewable energy integration and digital transformation across Saudi Arabia’s water production, treatment and distribution infrastructure, in alignment with Saudi Vision 2030.
The strategic partnership establishes a collaborative framework covering the four key areas of Clean Energy Integration, Digital Transformation, Industrial Localization and Human Capital and Innovation.
The MoU represents an important step in advancing integrated clean energy solutions within Saudi Arabia’s water sector and reflects growing collaboration between global technology providers and Saudi institutions to support the Kingdom’s decarbonization and localization objectives under Vision 2030.
Alghaffari commented: “In selecting LONGi, we considered its strong technological capabilities in solar energy and its commitment to supporting the Kingdom’s energy transition objectives. This collaboration will support our efforts to enhance sustainability and efficiency across Saudi Arabia’s water infrastructure.”
Jin added: “This partnership reflects LONGi’s long-term commitment to the Middle East and its role in enabling clean energy solutions for critical infrastructure. We look forward to working with SWA to explore scalable solar and hydrogen applications that support the Kingdom’s sustainability goals.”
