LONGi has announced the completion of module supply for a 550 MW PV plant project in the Western Macedonian lignite mines belonging to PPC Renewables (PPCR), Greece’s largest producer of electricity from renewable energy sources.

The agreement marks a milestone for LONGi’s footprint in Greece, with this considered to be Southern Europe’s largest single project deal for modules to date, the 550 MW capacity contributing significantly to both Greece’s and the broader Southern European energy mix.

The agreement encompassed the procurement of the company’s Hi-MO 7 modules, which were delivered between Q2 2024 and Q2 2025.

LONGi Europe President Leon Zhang commented: “At LONGi, our commitment is to provide our customers with not only the most reliable and high-performing products on the market, but also consistent and dedicated support throughout every stage of project development. This  550MW project with PPC Renewables is testament to the power of true teamwork and our  focus on our partners’ success. We pride ourselves on listening intently to all our customers’ requests and working hand-in-hand to achieve the best possible results.”

LONGi Sales Manager for Greece and Cyprus Athanasios Plainos expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration, adding: “We are delighted that PPC Renewables has selected LONGi for the procurement of modules, as the biggest national utility in Greece and Southeast Europe.”
