LONGi and TÜV Rheinland have signed a strategic cooperation agreement, marking the beginning of a new chapter of high-quality collaboration between the two parties in the solar photovoltaic sector. The agreement was signed during SNEC 2025 by Li Weichun, VP of the Global Power Electronics Business Segment and of Solar and Commercial Products Greater China at TÜV Rheinland, and LONGi VP Dennis She.

The partnership will focus on areas including Back Contact (BC) PV cell and module standard development, product reliability research and quality control during module mass production. Using high-quality BC products as an anchor point, the collaboration aims to establish new quality benchmarks for the entire PV industry and deliver higher lifecycle commercial value to global markets and customers. Since last year, LONGi’s HPBC 2.0 module, Hi-MO 9, has undergone a series of complex and rigorous professional tests under TÜV Rheinland’s evaluation criteria. Its outstanding power generation performance earned it the organisation’s “All Quality Matters” award for both “Power Generation Simulation” and “Module Reliability.” Additionally, TÜV Rheinland has  certified the superior low-light performance of LONGi’s BC products, with test results showing the Spectral Response Rate of its HPBC 2.0 products significantly outperforming TOPCon products, leading by up to 44%, and also awarded LONGi its “AA-Rated Certification for PV Supply Chain Traceability Management System.”

Subjected to strict assessment criteria, LONGi achieved the highest AA rating across all supply chain stages – polysilicon, ingot, wafer and module – demonstrating exceptional supply chain management, providing robust systemic assurance for the high-quality and high-efficiency performance of the company’s BC products throughout their lifecycle.

The two parties will integrate their strengths for comprehensive cooperation in enhancing PV product reliability, researching, developing and upgrading cutting-edge technologies, and formulating international standards. Together, they will empower and drive global sustainable development with higher-quality, higher-value solutions.
