LONGi, the world’s leading solar technology company, launched its latest Hi-MO 4 module in 2019, based on the M6 (166mm) wafer size. With its ultra-high power and value gains, the Hi-MO 4 can reduce BOS costs and provide greater return on investment to global customers.

LONGi’s high-efficiency module, based on mono PERC technology, has been a preferred solution for global customers since its launch. Shipments of Hi-MO4 in 2019 reached 1.6GW, with more than 10GW of cumulative orders and letters of intent. In 2020, the production capacity of the module will exceed 20GW, capable of meeting global customer demand.

The 50MW Thuan Nam Duc Long Plant was constructed by DLG Solar, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the well-known Vietnamese DUCLONG Group. Covering an area of 50 hectares in a solar park 100 kilometers away from Nha Trang, the plant is flat with abundant sunlight resources. The plant uses LONGi Hi-MO 4 mono modules and is the first solar plant to adopt Hi-MO 4 in Vietnam. The plant was successfully connected to the grid at the end of 2019 and has generated power at full capacity from December 27, 2019.

Near the Thuan Nam Duc plant, there is another plant using polycrystalline modules (345W) with the same design size and capacity (50MW) and same connection point (220kV substation). The owner compared the power generation capacity of the two plants from December 27, 2019 to January 8, 2020 (as shown in the figure below) and it was clear that the performance of the LONGi module was significantly superior. According to the relevant  data, the daily average power generation of the Thuan Nam Duc plant reached 245.8MWh, 4.57% higher than the daily average of the adjacent poly plant.

“The 50MW Thuan Nam Duc Long plant is just the beginning of our cooperation with LONGi. We look forward to using this plant with Hi-MO 4 modules as both a benchmark and an excellent start toward more large-scale projects in the future.” commented Ta Quoc Dung, General Manager of DLG Solar.

LONGi has promoted monocrystalline technology for many years and the market share of mono modules reached more than 60% in 2019. In 2020, there will be more solar projects adopting LONGi Hi-MO 4 modules in both Vietnam and India, bringing ever greater benefits to global customers.
