
LONGi has been included for the third time in the latest edition of S&P Global’s China edition of its sustainability yearbook, based on its outstanding performance in the fields of environmental, social and corporate governance (ESG). 164 Chinese companies were ultimately selected from over 1,600 assessed against S&P’s criteria for inclusion.
In terms of ESG management, in 2024 LONGi enhanced its practices to achieve a number of sustainable development goals ahead of schedule. In the aspects of decarbonization and resource efficiency, the company’s annual green electricity usage increased to 47.5%, equivalent to the elimination of some 2.5467 million tons of carbon emissions, with a 37% decrease in ‘scope 1 and 2’ emissions and a decrease of 26% in ‘scope 3’ emissions compared to 2023.
In environmental fields, the company’s annual protection investment reached 370 million yuan, with zero environmental violation incidents and all operating bases achieving full compliance with ISO 14001 certification. In 2024 LONGi’s silicon wafers, modules and hydrogen energy products obtained 53 carbon footprint certificates globally, covering France, South Korea and the international EPD system.
