LONGi has announced its affiliation with Rafiqui, a Mexican non-profit civil organization dedicated to offering recycling solutions for decommissioned solar modules, in partnership with the country’s energy sector companies.
The partnership aims to drive the development of infrastructure for solar panel recycling in Mexico, promoting a concrete solution to a pressing industry need and strengthening the commitment of participating entities to sustainability and the circular economy.
This collaboration in Mexico builds on the work LONGi is already carrying out internationally, including the recent certification of Brazilian PV recycler SunR and the international PV Cycle recycling association in Brazil, the first of its kind in Latin America. The company already holds global PV Cycle certification in countries including China, the United States and several others in Europe and, through this network, it promotes a culture of circular economy in the world’s most advanced markets.
Additionally, the initiative aligns with LONGi’s global sustainability commitments, recently updated in its 2024 Sustainability Report, reinforcing its vision to lead the energy transition with social and environmental responsibility.
