LONGi has announced the signing of a strategic framework agreement with leading Mexican renewable energy company Solarever for 300MW of high-efficiency distributed generation solar modules. The agreement was signed by Solarever founder and CEO Simon Zhao and Brad Li, LONGi’s regional president for the Americas.

Zhao commented: “As a witness to and a part of Mexico’s new energy development, I’ve seen how the local market has been built from scratch. With world dynamics bringing opportunities for growth, we believe Mexico will be a promising country for the renewable energy market but, before opportunities knock on the door, local companies like ours must be fully prepared. LONGi is a top global module manufacturer and our past cooperation has been positive. Visiting the LONGi headquarters is a further boost for our confidence in future cooperation.”

LONGi’s Li added: “Mexico plays a strong strategic role in the Americas. Changes in the global supply chain pattern will give the country a more important economic position in the world manufacturing industry. Mexico is also growing at a rapid pace. Solarever is a local Mexican company which has now been working in the Latin American market for over a decade, and it will definitely boom in the face of good opportunities. As part of our ongoing future cooperation, LONGi will dedicate more resources here and collaborate with Solarever to develop what is an emerging market with enormous potential.”
