Maxwell wins breakthrough full-line order for Perovskite/SHJ Tandem cell solution

​Maxwell has officially signed a full-line supply contract for Perovskite/SHJ tandem cells with a Chinese new energy company, securing its first commercial full-line order in the tandem cell field, with the collaboration enabling the client to build a leading-edge mass production line for G12H full-size cells.

Maxwell’s full-line tandem cell solution leverages its G12H large-size and full-area technology platform, covering the entire cell manufacturing process and delivering a set of advantages including high efficiency, large capacity, intelligence, automation and cost-effectiveness. The solution integrates several core technologies, including vacuum technology delivering high film quality and stability, pre-deposition printing technology that significantly reduces material costs, inkjet printing technology combining high material utilization with high throughput and efficient, high-throughput plate-type temporal Atomic Layer Deposition (ALD) technology.​

The client will be able to accelerate development of its Perovskite/SHJ tandem cell R&D system and industrialization capabilities, strengthen systematic control over key processes and advance the forward-looking deployment of patents and technology strategies, thereby establishing long-term core competitive advantages.​

The successful landing of this full-line order not only validates Maxwell’s leading expertise in tandem cell equipment and integrated solutions, but also marks a pivotal leap for large-size, high-efficiency Perovskite/SHJ tandem cell technology from lab to fab, the milestone set to accelerate the industry’s transition toward hundred-megawatt-scale mass production.
